Sunday Family Catechesis
Dear Families,
Registration is now open for our 2026–2027 Family Catechesis program at Prince of Peace! We are excited to invite your family to journey with us as we continue growing together in faith, prayer, and discipleship.
This year, we are especially excited to announce that we will be using the Word of Life curriculum from the Augustine Institute. This outstanding program is one of the most comprehensive catechetical resources available today, helping children and families encounter Jesus Christ, understand the teachings of the Catholic Church, and develop a lifelong relationship with God.
What makes Word of Life so special?
✨ Christ-Centered Formation – Every lesson is rooted in a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and invites young people to deepen their friendship with Him.
✨ Faithful and Engaging – The program is thoroughly Catholic, faithful to Sacred Scripture and Church teaching, while using age-appropriate methods that capture the interest of today's children and youth.
✨ Family-Focused – Because parents are the primary educators of their children in the faith, Word of Life provides opportunities for faith conversations and discipleship within the home, strengthening the domestic church.
✨ Formation for the Whole Person – Students learn not only what the Church teaches, but also how to pray, live as disciples, participate in the sacraments, and serve others.
✨ Beautiful and Inspiring – Through Scripture, sacred art, stories of the saints, prayer experiences, and discussions, young people are invited to see the beauty and richness of our Catholic faith.
Our Family Catechesis program recognizes that faith formation does not happen only in a classroom. It happens within families, around the dinner table, through prayer, at Mass, and in the everyday moments where parents pass on the faith to their children. We look forward to partnering with you in this important mission.
