Prince of Peace Parish has Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in St. John Paul II Chapel:
Sunday: 12:00-4:00pm
Monday - Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am-5:00pm
Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at Prince of Peace Church began shortly after the attack on the United States of America on September 11, 2001. The Parishioners rightly believed that the only way forward in such a dark time was the light of our Lord Jesus Christ. Truly the fight against sin and evil, even in our own personal life, is a constant struggle. Our Eucharistic Lord calls to us to be still and trust in Him.
Do I Need to Sign Up for Adoration?
There are 63 regularly scheduled hours of Adoration each week in our Parish. Sunday – Saturday, from 9 am to 5 pm, there are opportunities to worship our Eucharistic Lord, present in the Blessed Sacrament. You do NOT need to be scheduled for a Holy Hour, but are encouraged to do so. This allows us to work to have sufficient coverage for each and every hour.
To sign up, please contact Kristal Ostrowski by email at kristal@popscw.org or by phone at (623)344-7260.
What Do I Do in Adoration?
There is no right or wrong way to adore our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. St. John Marie Vianney would often say, “I stare at Him in love and He stares back at me in love.” Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is about being present with our Lord who is so present to us. Fr. Josh Johnson shares some words of wisdom in this video.
