All parishioners are encouraged to join Fr. David in praying and fasting for the defeat of Proposition 139.
What is Proposition 139?
Proposition 139 is a proposition on the November ballot that will enshrine the constitutional right to virtually unrestricted abortion through all nine months of pregnancy in Arizona.
Prayer & Fasting
- Special Holy Hour from 5:00-6:00pm in St. John Paul II Chapel.
- Fasting & abstaining from meat on Wednesdays & Fridays.
- Pray the Rosary or Memorare daily.
- Pray in front of Planned Parenthood, 5771 W. Eugie Ave., Glendale.
Action
- Verify that you are registered to vote in Arizona.
- Talk to family and friends about this proposition using the palm card enclosed in this week’s bulletin.
- Take extra palm cards and handout to others.
- Place yard signs in front of your house.
This proposition can be defeated in Arizona, but each of us will need to stand up and do our part to defend life.
