What should a Catholic parish provide to its people?

Celebrating the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and having the other sacraments of the Church readily available to the people is a priority at Prince of Peace, but did you know that there is so much more we offer our parishioners?

Father David, Father Raymond, Father Hans, and the other priests who celebrate the sacraments here truly believe and acknowledge that the Mass is the source & summit of our spiritual life but they all also believe that bringing people together in community is vital for our community. Here is what our Parish has to offer our parishioners:

Celebrating the Mass and Offering the Sacraments to the Faithful
At the heart of a Catholic parish’s mission is the celebration of sacred worship and the administration of the sacraments. The celebration of the Holy Mass is central to the life of the parish, offering a place where the faithful gather to participate in the Eucharist, the ultimate act of communal worship and spiritual nourishment. The Mass is not only a source of grace but also a communal expression of faith, fostering a deep connection between individuals and God.

Providing Catholic formation through teaching truths and doctrines
A Catholic parish is committed to the spiritual formation and education of its members. A Catholic parish provides moral and ethical guidance based on Church teachings and the principles of the Gospel. At our parish, this is done through the homilies from our priests and the resources provided by the parish including Bishop Barron’s Word on Fire library that is accessible through Flocknote.

Charity of the Lord in Good Works
Lastly, a Catholic parish provides practical support and resources to meet the everyday needs of its members. At Prince of Peace Parish, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is our go-to organization for anyone who needs emergency financial aid or resources for shelters.
